How aloSIM separates the eSIM from the data package
An aloSIM purchase has two layers. The eSIM profile is the digital SIM installed on the device, while the prepaid package supplies a defined amount of data for a defined validity period. The package expires, but the profile can remain on the phone and receive another package later. This is why aloSIM repeatedly advises users not to delete the eSIM simply because a trip has ended.

The Hushed phone number is useful, but it is not a native eSIM line

The important boundary is architectural: the Hushed number does not appear as the phone number assigned to the aloSIM cellular profile. It is a VoIP service inside another app. That makes it useful for ordinary calls, texts and voicemail, but users should not assume it behaves like a local carrier line for every bank, emergency service or identity-verification system.
Arrival activation and top-up sequencing
aloSIM says prepaid packages activate automatically when the installed eSIM reaches the correct country or region and the phone is configured to use it for mobile data. Installation can therefore be completed before departure without consuming the package at home.
Additional packages can be bought from My eSIMs. When several packages are attached to the same profile, they activate in order; a later package can start automatically after the active package expires, or the user can activate it manually. Manual activation starts the countdown, so it should not be pressed early.
Hotspot, profile deletion and device changes
Personal Hotspot and Android tethering are supported. The practical limitation is the purchased data balance: laptop updates, cloud backup and video meetings can consume a small package rapidly. A password should be used to prevent other travelers from draining the plan.
Current aloSIM support material says an accidentally deleted profile can be reinstalled a limited number of times on the same device. That should not be interpreted as free transferability. The safer workflow is to turn the eSIM off after the trip, retain it on the original device and contact support before attempting a move.
Support and purchase expectations
aloSIM provides 24-hour support through chat and email. Before contacting support, keep the order email, package name, destination, device model and screenshots of Cellular or SIM Manager settings. Those details help distinguish an installation problem from a destination-network or APN issue.
