What makes Saily different from a basic eSIM store
Saily’s standard workflow is familiar: buy a destination plan, install it in the app and connect on arrival. The differentiator is the set of app-level security features included with data plans. Ad blocking and web protection use DNS filtering, while virtual location routes traffic through a selected remote location.
Those tools are useful for reducing trackers, malicious-domain requests and some advertising, but they are not a complete security suite. DNS filtering cannot inspect every malicious attachment or threat inside a trusted domain.

Standard data, unlimited plans and Saily Ultra
Standard Saily eSIM packages are data-only and cover more than 200 destinations. One installed profile can be reused for later destinations by buying another plan in the app. Unlimited products have a published fair-use rule: 5GB of full-speed data in each 24-hour period, followed by reduced speed of 1 Mbps or less until reset.
Saily Ultra is a separate premium plan. The help center describes 30GB of high-speed data each month followed by unlimited access at up to 1 Mbps, plus airport and Nord Security benefits. It should not be confused with an ordinary one-time destination package.
The US phone-number add-on
Saily sells a persistent US phone number as a separate add-on, currently advertised from US$0.99 per month. Identity verification is required. The number works through the Saily app and is not a local number for the traveler’s destination.
The support documentation lists important limitations: MMS, premium-rate short numbers and call forwarding are unsupported. Users should verify the countries and applications supported for calls, SMS, OTP and two-factor authentication before relying on the number for a bank, airline or government account.
Installation, activation and hotspot
Saily installation is app-based and should be completed on stable internet before departure. The plan is designed to activate automatically on arrival. Data roaming must be enabled for the Saily line, while the primary SIM should be configured carefully to avoid unintended roaming charges.
Hotspot works through standard iOS and Android tethering settings. Unlimited-plan users should remember that excessive tethering is specifically addressed by the fair-use rules and can accelerate the move to reduced speed.
Refunds, support and destination-specific uncertainty
A non-installed or non-activated plan can be eligible for a full refund within 30 days. Once installed and activated, a full refund is not guaranteed, although Saily may consider a partial or full result when a service-quality problem left more than 99% of the plan unused.
