Four different ways to buy Yesim data
Yesim’s standard prepaid products provide a defined allowance and validity. Some destinations also offer unlimited-labeled products. Pay & Fly charges for actual usage instead of requiring a fixed package, while the annual Unlim Day Pass sells a bank of 24-hour unlimited days for use in supported countries.
These products answer different needs. Pay & Fly can be convenient for light or unpredictable use, a fixed package is easier to budget for one trip and Day Pass suits people who travel repeatedly during the year. The checkout page should state the coverage, activation and fair-use rules for the chosen model.
How the annual Unlim Day Pass works
The Day Pass product sells 10, 20, 40 or 80 plan days that remain valid for 365 days. A day begins when the eSIM connects and lasts 24 hours. Unused days remain for later trips during the validity period, and Yesim says they can roll forward when another plan is bought before expiration.
The word unlimited still operates under network and product conditions. Yesim’s destination pages say speeds can be limited by the local operator’s fair-use policy, so the Day Pass should not be treated as guaranteed unthrottled broadband.
Virtual numbers are separate from the travel eSIM
Yesim data plans do not include a phone number or traditional calls. The company separately rents virtual numbers, including country-code and service-specific numbers, through the Numbers area. These can receive SMS and OTP messages in the app; eligible products can also support inbound or outbound calls under their product description.
A virtual number does not require the Yesim eSIM and is not installed in the phone’s cellular settings. Some service-specific products advertise unlimited incoming SMS but no outgoing SMS. Financial, social-media and authentication acceptance can vary, so a critical account should be tested before travel.
Activation and hotspot uncertainty
Yesim’s help center lists several activation mechanisms: immediately after purchase, after installation, on the first compatible network connection or when both installation and network conditions are met. The user must read the selected product rather than assume arrival activation.
Hotspot is promoted on global products, but destination pages can state that availability depends on the operator. A laptop-dependent traveler should verify the plan detail and test tethering before a critical work session.
Refunds and Ycoins
Yesim’s refund policy allows requests for data plans and top-ups purchased through the site or app within 30 days. Used or expired plans are not refundable, and the used portion of any Yesim service is excluded.
For Unlim Day Pass, a day is considered used once the device connects and the 24-hour period begins. Users should disable the Yesim line when they do not intend to consume a day and report a confirmed technical malfunction promptly.
