Ultra Mobile eSIM is a digital activation format for a US prepaid carrier line, not a short-term global travel-data product. Eligible plans include a US number and the plan’s domestic calls, texts and data. International calling and roaming are separate plan features.
Activating Ultra creates or transfers a US mobile line. The eSIM replaces the plastic card but does not change the selected plan’s calls, texts, data, renewal or account rules.
This is different from a travel eSIM that normally supplies temporary data without a domestic number.
Check the exact IMEI, carrier lock and Ultra eligibility before paying or starting a number port. A phone can support eSIM generally and still be unsupported on the carrier.
Do not cancel the previous line before the transfer completes. Keep the account number, transfer PIN and matching billing information.
International calling from the United States and roaming while abroad are different features. Verify destination coverage and paid extras on the live plan.
On an unlocked dual-SIM device, Ultra can remain active for the US number while a travel eSIM handles data. Disable automatic data switching to control charges.
